Tania qualified at the prestigious Egas Moniz Institute in Lisbon, Portugal in 2007 having simultaneously completed one year training in Madrid at the Universidade PIO X where she was awarded distinctions and awards in both paediatric and geriatric special care.
She then returned to Lisbon and began her Master of Science (MSc) Programme in Periodontology which she was awarded in 2009. Following this Tania spent the majority of her time in fully private practice but also devoted a portion of her time to her hometown hospital where she modernised the stomatology department and worked alongside the experienced surgical team.
Tania moved to the UK with her husband Dr Gustavo Silva, an experienced implant and restorative dental surgeon and completed both a modular surgical Periodontology degree and an implant residency which lead her to undertake the Masters in Clinical Dentistry (MClinDent) degree in Periodontology (Birmingham) that she now holds.
Tania now dedicates her time exclusively to the practice of periodontology and is a strong believer that this disease can be controlled if all risk factors are studied and treated accordingly. She has presented extensively in centres of excellence and will work closely alongside the hygiene and therapy team and our restorative dentists to achieve long lasting stability for periodontal patients. Tania provides non-surgical and surgical treatments, both conventional and regenerative in periodontal and peri-implant diseases, alveolar bone augmentation and plastic periodontal surgery.
